NEWS UPDATE – JULY
2009!
I
can hardly believe that it’s now July!
CATS Kidz have been so busy our dancing feet hardly
touch the
ground! Such a lot has happened and
I
know I’ll forget to mention many success – so we say Congratulations to
all at
CATS for all your many achievements over the past couple of months!
CONGRATULATIONS go to Vicki for her Choreography
& Senior girls who
took part in OKLAHOMA
at Rugby Theatre! Rave reviews still
coming in!
Amie Carter won the title Miss Teen Rugby and was
invited to model at
the Clothes Show. Emile Ruddock did
a
master tap class in London with Rusty
Franks and
was invited to meet up for more classes in New York later this year!
Ruth and Jo took charge
and
entered some of our kidz in the Rochelle Dance Festival held at
Coleshill over
3 Sundays. They were very successful and
won many medals and trophies! CATS was
commended by the Adjudicator on their great camaraderie within the
School and a
lot of valuable experience was learned!

Jasmine Webb has successfully reached the finals for
the All England
Dance Festival to be held at the Peacock Theatre, London, at the end of
this month
– with both her Modern solo and her Character solo;
Sophie Blair was successful with both her
Modern solo and her duet “Leisure” with Hannah Davies, reaching through
all the
heats to the final – but Hannah is on holiday on the date and Amie
Carter will
be dancing in her place! Good luck
girls!
After a successful audition process Tom Bevan has
been offered a place
at the superb Masters
College
for entry this
September, and Sam Aires has been offered a place for next year! Congratulations to both of them – and good
luck!
Several senior girls are entered for Summer Schools
– a group are going
to Bird College in a couple of weeks and Sophie Blair is going to Arts
Ed too as she was awarded a Scholarship
place by
Chris Hocking the Adjudicator at the recent Milton Keynes Festival.
Shannon Moor is attending the National
Youth Contemporary
Ballet School
in Nottingham and Shannon and Zoe
Tildesley
are taking part in Coppelia with the English Youth Ballet in Dunstable.
Jo
and Wendy are now in America
settling into their Summer Leader roles in Boston
and Philadelphia
– they are enjoying it and texting back all their news!

July! –

All the Kidz have
been working on the
Cabaret entertainment and have great Freestyle routines to enjoy! They are eagerly looking forward to
performing their break dance bits!
NEW CLASSES
STARTING SEPTEMBER! Look out for the
poster!
Miss Emma and Ruth
are running 2 new BABY
BALLET DANCE classes on a Wednesday morning – Mums & Toddlers
18months – 2
years; and a Pre School 2 – 3 years;
NEW PRE POINTE
class will be introduced on
a Tuesday, 7.00 – 7.30 p.m.
for the Grade 4 R.A.D. Ballet girls (including those taking Grade 3 at
the
December session). See new timetable next week!
NEW PRE-ASSOCIATE
MODERN JAZZ class for
Teaching qualifications. Wednesdays 6.00 – 7.00 p.m.
Candidates need to be 15 years or over and
be working on or having passed Grade 5.
Theory, and practical teaching Modern Jazz Grades
Preparatory to Grade
2, and an Anatomy Diploma.
CATS will be
breaking up for 1 week – first
week in August. Have a great
